Common Questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open your iPhone Settings > tap your name (Apple ID) > Subscriptions > Cave > Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase?

If you reinstall Cave or switch devices, your subscription will be restored automatically when you open the App, as long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase. You can also tap "Restore Purchases" on the subscription screen during onboarding.

Where are my journal entries stored?

All your journal entries (video, audio, transcriptions, and Ember responses) are stored exclusively on your device. We never upload or have access to your recordings.

What happens if I delete the app?

Deleting Cave permanently removes all your journal data from your device. This cannot be undone. Make sure to export any entries you want to keep before deleting the App.

Can I export my entries?

Yes. You can save individual journal entry videos to your Photo Library from within the App.

Is my data private?

Yes. Cave is designed with privacy at its core. Your recordings never leave your device. Only the text transcription is sent (anonymously, encrypted) to generate Ember's response, and it is not stored. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Ember didn't respond or gave an unexpected response

Ember requires an internet connection to generate personalized responses. If you're offline or the connection is unstable, Ember will provide a pre-written reflection instead. If this happens consistently, please contact us.

The app is not in my language

Cave currently supports English, German, Spanish, and French. The app automatically detects your device language. To change the language, go to your iPhone Settings > General > Language & Region and set your preferred language.
